Christopher Hitchens

Perhaps the best way to honour the late Christopher Hitchens is to forget him entirely. This, at least, is consistent with his philosophy. According to his worldview, the universe has already done so. In cosmic time, each living being’s time is infinitesimally brief, so brief as to be virtually non-existent. Writings, contributions, memories, fame, fortune, deeds good and bad (as if those categories can even exist in Hitchen’s universe) have no lasting impact or meaning. The universe forgets us all, for it never knew us.

There’s another explanation, of course.

On Gender Identity, Bullying, and Being a Christian.

I think Coren’s comments are on the money. I have more to add later, but I want this to be posted first; in another interview, Coren discusses bullying with a Rabbi, and notices that bullying goes both ways, and some government institutions are seeking to silence all dissent. This is especially true in some school districts, potentially all Ontario schools.

This Video has caused an uproar. Some have called for Sun Media to be censored for running it. Thing is, a few years ago the planned curriculum would have been seen as a form of child abuse, or sexual interference.
